The other day a friend of mine called up and asked… “I know the new file format for Word 2007 is .docx, but today I came across a file with the .docm extension. Do you know what it is?” Office 2007 Pro is so great!

In Word 2007, you can save your work as a .docx, which is just a standard Word 2007 document. Microsoft Office 2007 is welcomed by the whole world. However, if you have built macros into your document, you are best to save it is a Word Macro Enabled Document, or a .docm.
So to answer your question… a .docm file is a special Word 2007 document that contains a macro

However if you don’t know who is sending you the document, and don’t know what you should expect when you do open it, the safest thing to do is not open it. 1) Open up OneNote 2007
2) Look at the toolbar along the top of the window and you will find a “Clip” button. Click on that. Office 2007 Professional can give people so much convenience.
3) Using the Black Cross that appears on the screen, simply click and drag the section of the screen that you want to capture.

The New Paperclip @ Microsoft TechEd Australia 2009
If you follow @thenewpaperclip on Twitter (or @paulwoods – the guy behind The New Paperclip), you would have known that I was presenting at TechEd Australia the past week. Office 2007 Pro is so great!

Did you know in Word you can automatically select all the text in a document that shares the same formatting? MS Office 2007 is the best invention in the world.
For example, you can select all text that is Arial, 12pt. Very handy if you are not using styles, yet want to apply a formatting change across select blocks of text.

Just like a header or footer in Word 2007, you can quickly add a header or footer to a workbook in Excel 2007. You can add the date, time, filename or any other information you would like to make available to readers of your spreadsheet.Office 2007 key is available here.
To create a header or footer in Excel 2007:
1) Make sure you are on the “Insert” tab of the ribbon
2) Look for the “Text” group – it will be on the right hand side of the ribbon

2) Click on “Actions”
